Beautiful meal. My dad and brother orders the duck potstickers to start while my mom and I ordered the seasonal salad which was a brie and micro-greens salad with a cherry vinaigrette and pistachios (delicious, flavors balanced very well and I plan to recreate this at home). My brother and I shared the pork chop entree and one of the seafood specials (which was served with a lobster tail, lobster cake, and a flaky white fish in a roasted pepper sauce). Both dishes were exquisite and was a great portion size, we were happy that we chose to split so we could try both! My dad insisted on ordering dessert and chose the almond cake which was an almond sponge cake layered with mascarpone, the hint of citrus made for a delightful end to a meal. Our server was also very knowledgeable and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the night.
Sat at the bar (didn’t have a reservation this time) and enjoyed lively interactions with the well traveled bar tenders and locals. The quality of light and color that come in through the patio windows makes this place feel like everything great about being on Mackinac Island! French onion soup and asparagus salad were the perfect light lunch I needed to fuel another pedal up the Grand hill.
AMAZING! A must-try restaurant on Mackinac Island! I admit, it is a little pricey, but the food, the atmosphere, and the views are totally worth every penny! We went there for lunch and sat on a patio/deck. The views were spectacular, plus our kids were able to run around on the beach, which was an extra bonus. The cocktails we ordered were so good! We knew we were in for a treat, but the food truly hit the mark! The shrimp and asparagus salad was refreshingly yummy, the steak sandwich, as well as the whitefish sandwich were really tasty. We absolutely loved their french fries (one of the best I've had!), their sauces (horseradish, tartar), and their flourless almond and orange cake. So good! If you're looking for a great place to relax by the water while having a beautifully presented meal, try the Carriage House, and you will not be disappointed!
Phenomenal service, food was delicious, drinks were great, will definitely come back here. View of the Bay was also top notch.
Nice place. Just went in to get the peanut butter pie. Stayed for a few beers. And kill time waiting for our ferry to take us home.bBartenders were very friendly.
Everyone looked very professional except the manager in the suit with the tennis shoes .. lol.
I got a draft blueberry beer that was absolutely awesome. The bartender even put blueberries in it. Highly recommended. Also got a white Russian that was made perfectly.
The peanut butter pie .... Which is the whole reason we came in.. was really thick and smooth but kinda small. (That's what she said!) It was really good.
Whole place is classy looking. Kind of pricey. But it's a tourist place. So that's to be expected I guess.
Great view of the lake and as a bonus... You can see when your bo6at actually arrives while sitting inside and staying out of the wether. . and away from the bugs bike and horse poo.
Another Bonus if you gotta bust a grumpy they have nice bathrooms here.
What a beautiful ambience. The patio in the back is so nicely decorated with flowers and breathtaking view of the water.
Delicious food in a beautiful setting! Our server was patient and explained different entres to us. And they had great daily specials.
We had the white fish cakes as an appetizer and the seafood pasta entree. And I have to tell you that Whitefish cake was amazing! Just the right hint of smoky flavor made it unique and delicious. And the seafood pasta was wonderfully done nothing was rubbery and it was wonderful.
We went in the evening and the pier was lit up and beautiful. Even the lights on the tables were unusually pretty.
Beautiful restaurant with great views of the lake! Our food was really good! Splurged on the double lobster tail special!
